Corpus stems from ongoing experimentation with virtual and digital technology in relation to photographic process. Photogrammetry is akin to photography. The 3D scanning software takes a point of origin in physical space to stitch together multiple photographs and create a virtual 3D reproduction. During the scanning process the author’s movement around the subject has agency in the result. The Corpus series are created from corrupted 3D scans, where gestural movement around a body impacts the photographic and digital stitches are made manifest to hold together perforated bodily formations. 2019
