In Our Hands are made using a combination of photography and 3D scans to create a series of still life images which sit between virtual space and reproduction of the real, to depict discarded detritus as residue of human encounter in unexpected places. Crisp packets, sweet wrappers and soft drinks empties harks to a hidden or forgotten youthful stomping ground mixed with elements of forest clearing or suburban areas.
Placed in the canon of still life, the discarded food packaging becomes metaphorical for human consumption and the impact of environmental waste as our defining legacy.
