Invitation shows us spaces which are in between, on the peripheries of society, where people don’t reside, but there is evidence of something taking place, suburban wasteland, woodland clearings, graffitied areas. These places are not extraordinary but have an imaginative quality due to being neither wild nor tame, they invite us to think about what may have taken place here before, layers of encounter building tension in the air.
