Loop, 2018

Loop uses the house as a site for investigation. Tangible elements and architectural resolution of domestic space are reconsidered and await discovery. This piece plays with the notion of a room as a physical and metaphorical construct and explores expectations of domestic space as a form of shelter and place of intimacy.

The virtual structure manifest physical space, offers us a look at something which isn’t really there, but is weighted like an unseen presence. Fragments of rooms suspended as layers of the familiar, echo transience of time and artifice of memory.

Our perception of reality and how we negotiate space comes into question, by presenting a construction, which although virtual, is navigated in real space. The spectral façades are both real and not real. Photography is used as an appropriation of real space into hybrid virtual existence.
