The Exquisite project is a series of 200+ drawings. Originally commissioned for artist publication Fashnriot. A project investigating subliminal imagery in advertising and popular culture in relation to drawing and the subconscious. Focusing on found imagery from Dolce & Gabanna adverting campaign c.2004, over 200 different responses were created in the form of drawing, through revisiting the image over and over, to discover layers of translation and surreal forms. The drawings offer traces of the original image morphed into memories and culturally appropriated intuitive response. Drawings distributed across the Fluff, Anti-Fluff edition of 200, so that no issue included the same drawing.
