Threads. Webs of the Labyrinth spider became the nucleus for project development, whilst traversing hidden pockets of suburbia in small-town Southern England. Webs of this type are found in wild areas and along brambley roadsides, where they become archetypal in memory of long summer evening dwellings for esoteric encounters. Popular culture has seen spiders as symbolic of horror or sexual predator. Threads weaves layers of meaning and representation through sculpture, photography and virtual space, and plays with what is hidden or revealed, fabricated or real.
